Add Rubber

Here we start mixing the essential materials. The first and most important material is the rubber. For this we use either SHERFLECK which is manufactured by Shercom industries and is made from recycled vehicle tires, EPDM which is a manufactured rubber designed specifically for this application or Nike Grind which is a rubber granular product made from recycled Nike shoes. In most applications the rubber granueles are colored and can be mixed in varrying combinations to achieve the desired color combination.

Add Glue

The next step is to add the glue. The glue is used to hold the rubber granules together and is specially designed to resist wear, be UV stable and remain flexible to allow the the surface to maintain the full benefits of the material properties of the rubber granules.

Prime the Surface

The surface is cleaned of all dirt and debris and the edges of the surface are trimmed back. The surface is then primed with a special primer to ensure that the new rubber surface adheres properly to the surface below.

Dump It

The mixed rubber and glue mixture is then dumped into the wheel barrow and transported to the installation area.

Pour and Level

The rubber is then poured over the primed surface and leveled to the desired height before it is formed and packed.

Shape and Flatten

Using a combination of trowels and rollers the pre-leveled surface is packed and shaped to make sure you have a level and durable surface when the product is finished drying.
